“Using your body to free your mind.
That's the blessing bestowed by movement, by action.”
-- Marty Rubin
Children have an incredible capacity to adapt. Nevertheless over the last two years I am seeing younger children show signs of increased stress and anxiety as we have navigated our way through the Covd-19 epidemic.
Both movement and craniosacral work allow children to participate on a deeper level in a therapeutic process without making it too conscious on an intellectual level.
I work with children with developmental delay, ADHD, problems sleeping, enuresi, difficulty socializing and for general well-being to support healthy development.
I typically work with children from age five and up, and have experience working with children with special needs.
Individual and group sessions in Mindfulness and Embodied Movement
Using skills in mindfulness, somatic experiencing, felt-sense, and eurythmy clients develop inner resources for coping with stress, fatigue, chronic pain, illness, anxiety, depression.
In individual sessions we start wherever you're at.
We can work sitting, standing, moving.
Trauma and the stresses of modern life cause many people to dissociate from their body.
Working with embodied movement helps us to reconnect, to literally "re-member" ourselves.
This re-membering and felt connection with the body helps us develop the resources
to confront crisis, illness, and live in an uncertain world.
In group sessions we focus on posture, stance, and step and learn how to bring mindfulness practice into movement.
By practicing simple awareness exercises in movement
we can learn to inegrate mindfulness into the busyness of every-day life.
Developing a practice of mindfulness, even for a few moments each day, whether seated in silence or integrated into movement helps us to develop self-awareness and resilience.
Individual sessions working with Craniosacral Therapy
Work is done with the client seated or lying down, fully clothed.
Craniosacral is a non-invasive bodywork technique offering support for both physiological and psychological stress and pain, encouraging transformation from within by bringing the client into contact with their inner resources
for healing and change.
A safe space is created in which the clients system can move between activity and deep stillness to re-establish equilibrium.
Come up for air
Teams and individuals can be supported through group work and one-to-one sessions.
Working with mindfulness exercises on stance, posture, action. How we stand in relation to the world, our inner posture, and how this affects our professional relationships and effectiveness.
Team members become stronger by becoming aware of their weak points and building on innate resources as strengths.
Craniosacral therapy treatment can be offered to support the autonomic nervouse system, buiding resilience for employees showing signs of burnout.
